The XA-110IP adaptor connects an IPOD to a Sony Bus (unilink) compatible head units manufactured after October 2005 (not including EX-1GP). Once the adaptor is connected, the interface will allow direct access to playlists, files & folders from the Sony unit controls

Once connected to the iPod, pressing during playback changes the behaviour of the track seek buttons. Each press of the button toggles between:-
Repeat playback is also supported, with various modes. Each press of the button switches between:-
- Repeat track
- Repeat album
- Repeat artist
- Repeat playlist
Shuffle randomised playback is also supported, with the following options:-
- Shuffle album - album in random order
- Shuffle artist - artist in album order
- Shuffle playlist - playlist in random order
- Shuffle all - all tracks in random order
XA-110IP Display Options
Whilst the iPod is in use, pressing the button on the Sony unit will change the information shown on the display. Each press of the button will switch between:-
- Track name
- Track Number
- Elapsed Playing Time
- Album Name
- Artist Name
- Clock
